Glossary of Oils, Absolutes, and Ingredients
Carrier Oils - Natural oils used to dilute essential oils for safe application on the skin. They also provide
nourishment and enhance natural scent longevity. We use cold-pressed oils, including jojoba, virgin coconut, extra-virgin olive oil, and rosehip oil.
Botanical Extracts - extracts from flowers, plants, and herbs used for their unique scents and therapeutic properties.
Absolutes - Highly concentrated aromatic extracts obtained through solvent extraction. These are often used in perfumery for their rich, complex scents.
Resins - thick, sticky substances exuded from trees or plants - most often from conifers or certain aromatic shrubs. They are among the oldest perfumery materials, adding depth, warmth, and longevity.
Concretes - soft, waxy, highly aromatic extracts produced by solvent extraction of fresh plant material
Wax - Coco apricot creme Wax is used in our candles. It is toxin-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and is an FDA-approved wax.
